exotic 5 hour stew

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 lbs boneless chuck cut to 1 ½ inch cubes(can use pre cut cubed meat of choice)
  • 1 16 oz can  tomatoes with chiles, do not drain (rotel)
  • 3 carrots cut to 1 inch pieces
  • 3 celery cut to 1 inch pieces
  • 1 onion cut to 1 inch pieces
  • 1 lb small red potatoes, halved
  • 1 T sugar
  • 3 T quick cook tapioca
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts -These are good for Crunch
  • ¼ t Pepper
  • 1 T Salt
  • ¼ Cup red wine
  • Broth to cover

How to:

Add all ingredients to baking dish, gently stir to combine.  DO not brown meat. Cover and bake at 250 degrees for 5 hours, do not stir! alternatively this can be put on crock pot on low minimum 8 hours.
