Has anyone had experience getting help with prescription copays? I am working and paying my own insurance premiums however our copays went to 20% and I can't afford most of my MS meds I take daily for symptoms. Thanks.

I would suggest contacting the drug companies. They have assistance programs available to help pay with the meds.
Good luck - I have a feeling that you are not alone in this. Many are feeling the crunch.

When my insurance switched to another prescription drug plan, my copay for Ampyra went from $40 to $200 a month. I called the company, and they were great about paying the difference. However, it did take some time (at least a month) so plan accordingly. I've been with them since last July, and I've had no problem whatsoever.

rx copay help...discouraged
I take 10 different meds. One of my generic drugs used to cost $5.00. This year it costs $55.00.
I guess this is an example of what seems the more I try to push myself and keep working through my symptoms the more I get discouraged about it. I will make phone calls tomorrow while on my 30 minute lunch. Wish me luck!

The drug companies are a great resource.
Here's an agency that might be able to help.
Chronic Disease Fund- 972-712-0201 or 877-968-7233; website is http://www.cdfund.org/ and their e-mail is info@cdfund.org
They provide assistance to those under-insured patients who are diagnosed with chronic or life altering diseases that require the use of expensive, specialty therapeutics. MS is one of the diseases they cover.
Not sure if this will help you but it might be worth a try.
Good luck!PPMS: Dx 9/13 by local neurologist; confirmed by 2 ms specialists in fall/winter 2013-14.
Meds: Rapaflo, Neurontin, multi-vitamin, calcium, baby aspirin, blood pressure medicine. The list keeps increasing as the neuro tackles each symptom.
