Have you tried methadone? When my wife had(has) pudental nerve pain she feels methadone helped a lot. Have the doctor write on the prescription “ for pain”.

No. I have never tried methadone. Things like that are no longer available.

Why is it not available palmtree, it’s not an opioid? My wife gets her 5mg(very small dose).prescription filled monthly. Doctors are aware methadone is very effective for pain and should prescribe it without hesitation. I only mentioned have the doctor include “for pain” because it is also prescribed for other conditions. I can’t imagine insurance not paying as it a very inexpensive drug. If you are in pain try it, insist that the doctor prescribe it or give you a MEDICAL reason why he won’t.
