    Ultrasound for spasms

Has anyone tried ultrasound for muscle spasms? The TENS unit helps with pain but the spasms are to severe to get them out. I am wondering if this would be worth a try.

I spent all last summer in PT receiving ultrasound massage and it was wonderful. The spasms came back in-between tx, but it sure eased the spasms then. Sorry, I am just a lurker, but saw no one answered your post, so thought I would.

When I tore my calf muscle they used ultrasound and it really made a difference in the pain and the spasms from the healing. I had minimal spasicity at that time but now that I have it, it feels just like the muscle tear when it was healing. So, I'm thinking that ultrsound might work for you.

It's such a weird feeling to me! I've had it several times for various injuries and it still creeps me out! ha!

I hope it helps, spasms suck
