    Books for someone recently diagnosed

    hi
i was wondering if someone could recommend good books on MS for someone who has been recently diagnosed with progressive MS?

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society has a list of books on its website at http://www.nationalmssociety.org/mul...oks/index.aspx. While all of the books are helpful, there is one listed under Healthy Living and Symptom Management called Living with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis: Overcoming the Challenges that you might be interested in.

      Blindsided

Richard M. Cohen is Meredith Vieira's husband. Mededith is the co-host of the Today Show and use to be on the View.
I was given this book after being diagnosed in Aug. 2006. I think I have read it 5/6 times. Richard had to adjust to having MS and going blind. Christopher Reeve wrote the cover praise and I couldn't say anything more "A brutally honest and compelling account of living with devastating illness. A disturbing and profoundly moving chronicle of one family's struggle to survive"

      I highly recommend it.
