The most bizarre thing just happened...

I live in Virginia. This has been one of the weirdest, warmest winters on record. It was 70 degrees in january.
Ok so just a few minutes ago I heard thunder outside. Thunderstorms are a bit unusual this time of year...but the weather has been quite bizarre so...
A few minutes later my kids start screaming, "MOM IT's SNOWING!!!" I look out the window and low and behold it is snowing like CRAZY!
Thunder and snow? What is this..an apocolypse??LOL
This morning I took the trash out and I was wearing a hoodie. How can it be cold enough to snow!?!?

Last year begging for the snow to stop, this year for begging for snow.

I have seen it once before here in Alabama. The crazy thing about it was it happened and the day before we had gotten out of school early because of tornadoes. It was pretty cool one of the things that peaked my interest in meteorolgy.
