    Peach Crisp

    Ingredients
    1 cup wheat germ
    1/2 cup quick OR old-fashioned oats, uncooked
    1/4 cup margarine, melted
    2 teaspoons brown sugar
    1 Tablespoon cornstarch
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
    3 cans {16 ounces each} water-packed peaches, sliced, reserving 1/2 cup liquid

    Directions
    1 Heat oven to 375 degrees.
    2 Combine wheat germ, oats, margarine, and 1 teaspoon brown sugar; set aside.
    3 In 8-inch square baking pan, combine i teaspoon brown sugar, cornstarch, and nutmeg; toss with peaches to coat.
    4 Sprinkle peaches with wheat germ mixture.
    5 Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until peaches are tender and topping is dark golden brown.

    MAKES 10 servings
