    Old Fashioned Bread Pudding

    Ingredients
    1/4 cup raisins
    3 slices whole wheat bread, with OR without crusts
    2 eggs
    1-1/2 cups skim milk
    3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/3 cup sugar
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon OR nutmeg

    Directions
    1 Lightly oil a 6 to 8-cup baking dish.
    2 Sprinkle half of raisins over bottom.
    3 Cut or break bread into small pieces and arrange in baking dish, overlapping as necessary.
    4 Scatter remaining raisins on top.
    5 In a large bowl, beat eggs until frothy.
    6 Add milk, vanilla, and sugar.
    7 Beat well.
    8 Pour over bread; sprinkle cinnamon on top.
    9 Let it stand for 10 minutes.
    10 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    11 Sit baking dish in a larger roasting pan and add enough warm water to large pan to reach halfway up baking dish.
    12 Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until custard is set.
