    Fudge Pecan Pie

    Ingredients
    1/2 cup butter
    3 Tablespoons cocoa
    3/4 cup hot water
    2 cups sugar
    1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    5-ounce can evaporated milk
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 cup pecan halves
    1 deep dish pie shell
    Whipped topping

    Directions
    1 Preheat oven and baking sheet to 350 degrees.
    2 In medium saucepan, melt butter; remove from heat.
    3 Add cocoa and stir until dissolved.
    4 Add hot water and stir again.
    5 With wire whisk, blend in sugar, flour, salt, evaporated milk, and vanilla.
    6 Stir until batter is smooth.
    7 Mix in pecans and pour into pie crust.
    8 Bake on preheated baking sheet 50 minutes or until knife inserted 1 inch from center comes out clean.
    9 Serve cooled pie with whipped topping.

    MAKES 8 servings
