Ingredients
1 medium onion, sliced
1 Tablespoon butter OR margarine
2 to 2-1/2 pounds broiler-fryer pieces, skinned
salt
pepper
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
12-ounce bottle chili sauce
grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
1 Place onion and butter in 2-quart oblong baking dish; cover with waxed paper.
2 Microwave at high 3 minutes, stirring once.
3 Season chicken with salt and pepper.
4 Arrange chicken, skin-side down, over onion.
5 Sprinkle with oregano.
6 Cover and microwave at HIGH 16 to 18 minutes or until done, turning chicken over and rearranging and basting halfway through cooking.
7 Skim fat from sauce.
8 Spoon sauce over chicken; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
