Makes 13 Cups
Ingredients
9 cups sifted flour
1/3 cup baking powder
1/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp salt
2 tsp cream of tartar
2 cups nonfat dry milk powder
1 pound margarine {recommended for low cholesterol diets.}
Directions
1-Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowel and mix well.
2-Cut in the margarine until the mixture is well crumbled.
3-Store in air tight container in refrigerator and use as directed for pancakes and waffles.
Low Cholesterol Waffles
{Makes 4 four-sectioned waffles.}
Ingredients
3-1/2 cups baking mix
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1-1/2 cups water
1/4 cup margarine
4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Directions
1-Combine mix with sugar and baking powder.
2-Add water and margarine and beat until smooth.
3-Fold in beaten egg whites.
4-Bake according to directions for waffles.
Fruit Pancakes
Made with the Low Cholesterol Mix
{Makes about 14}
Ingredients
2-1/2 cups baking mix
1 Tbsp sugar
1 cup water
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 cup fruit ~ blueberries, bananas, OR strawberries
Directions
1-Combine mix and sugar.
2-Add water and mix to moisten ingredients.
3-Fold in beaten egg whites and fruit.
4-Bake pancakes on hot greased griddle.
