Ingredients
2 cups ground pork
2 cups ground beef
3 cups beef broth
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1-1/2 tsp rubbed sage
Dash of Cayenne
1 cup cornmeal
Hot salad oil
Directions
1-Combine pork, beef, and broth in a medium saucepan.
2-Bring to boil.
3-Add seasonings.
4-Gradually sprinkle in cornmeal, stirring constantly.
5-Cook 30 minutes over low heat, stirring frequently.
6-Spoon into a greased 10-inch tube pan.
7-Chill until firm.
8-Cut into 1/2-inch slices, and fry in 1/2-inch hot oil until brown.
9-Turning once.
Yield: About 10 to 12 servings.
