Ingredients
2 and 1/4 cups boiling water
1 and 1/2 cups rice
2 Tbsp butter
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp turmeric
Directions
1-Melt butter in flame proof casserole or baking dish that has a tight cover.
2-Add rice and turmeric.
3-Cook 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
4-Add boiling water and salt.
5-Stir with a long handled, wooden spoon.
6-Cover with a tight-fitting lid and bake at 400 degrees F for 17 minutes.
Makes 12 servings.
