    Candied Yams or Sweet Taters

    Ingredients
    6 medium-sized sweet potatoes
    4 Tbsp butter
    1 cup Maple syrup
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/8 tsp salt
    1 cup mini marshmallows

    Directions
    1-Boil sweet potatoes until tender.
    2-Let cool and peel.
    3-Slice half the potatoes and arrange in a greased 13x9x2-inch baking dish.
    4-Dot with half the butter and sprinkle with half the salt.
    5-Repeat the process, using all the potatoes,butter and salt.
    6-Combine the syrup and brown sugar.
    7-Pour over potatoes.
    8-Bake at 300 degrees F for about 20 minutes.
    9-Remove from oven.
    10-Top with marshmallows.
    11-Return to oven for 10 minutes or until marshmallows are golden brown and partially melted.

    Serves 4 to 6
