Vitamin B, D and fish oil

    Hello!

I would like to start taking a supplemental vitamin B, D and fish oil, but I am not sure where to start. I am in limbo right now, but I am hoping if I start on these at a regular dosage, that maybe it will help me clear up the fog and dizzy until my next MRI in 6 months.

    Thank you!!!

    Welcome Mamma,
I think you are starting with the right supplements.
B vitamins are important co-factors necessary for all biochemical processes in the body.
I've written extensively about B vitamins, search through my posts; here is a short: Most B vitamins available for purchase are synthetic. It is important to get a whole food B complex. Not a B-100 or Mega B, etc.
Vitamin D3. Start with 4-6,000/day and get yourself tested so you'll know where you need to go. Researcher's new recommendation target for MS is 110ng/dl.
Fish oils, cod liver oil....in these products your looking for DHA and EPA. My recommendation is 400-800mg/day of DHA and 2-300mg of EPA.
Both fish oils and vit D3 supplements must also contain a small amount of vit E, as a preservative.
All of these are 'vitamins' and need to be taken with food.
