    Vitamin levels and MS

I was not sure if I should post this on the meds thread, but it is about vitamins. The doc checked my D and B 12 levels and found them extremely low. I was on daily shots of B12 for a week, now give them myself every week. I am taking 1000U of D every day.I have found that the neuropathic pain in my legs is a lot better, and energy levels improved. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this!

I was tested about two months ago and vitamin D level was very low, was prescribed 50,000 iu gelcap per week. I'll retest my level soon. I had been taking a supplement with 800 iu per day and that was not enough.

Lots of discussion here on vitamin D for you to check out. I am planning to take 5,000 iu a day of D3 when I go off this prescription dose.
