question inosine

I read about inosine and was wondering if anyone has any information about it?

A quick check on Google turned up:

and also some other sites. The information appears to conflict itself. One site said it showed promise for MS yet its also touted as improving and strengthening the immune system (that's when the flare goes up).
Last time I checked, the last thing I need are more aggressive T cells.
Otherwise, it hasn't cleared the FDA as a prescribable medicine and its been around since the 60's.
