    do beans have gluten

    Hi,

I wanted to know if legumes and beans have gluten in them? Can we eat legumes and beans in MS if they dont have gluten?

    Thanks

    Ravi

No, legumes (which includes beans) do not contain gluten. Some of the MS diets, however, do not allow legumes.

Legumes are among the food categories to which people are most likely to be sensitive. Sensitivity = inflammation, and inflammation is bad for MS.

It's generally thought, however, that eliminating gluten is a higher priority.
