Sounds as if you're making progress in the way you want to, Faith.

I haven't been very diligent about staying under 1300 calories/day lately and so I'm back up at 112. I need to get back on track, or those clothes that were fitting me at last will become too small again.

I won't report all of my bio-tracker measurements, but they all went the wrong direction on Tuesday. I need to do more strength training and drink more water to stay on track with that.

A few days ago I was at 110 but now I'm back at 112. It's so easy to put on a couple of pounds. How can it be so difficult to take off a couple of pounds?

Awww, don't stress over a couple of pounds. Our bodies just naturally fluctuate.

What often works for me when that happens is I "change things up" for a day, usually by eating more the following day. Sounds counter-intuitive, I know. But if you've been losing weight, your body might be afraid that it will starve, so you just need to reassure it that you plan to keep feeding it.

              Recent weights / BMI :
              Goals: Weight 118-123; BMI 18.5-24.9
              09/05/2019: 120.4 lbs; BMI 21.9
              09/19/2019: 120.8 lbs; BMI 21.9
              10/03/2019: 121.2 lbs; BMI 22.0

              Recent bio tracker:
              Goals: Muscle mass: (62 - 73.5%); Body fat (24 - 34%)
              09/03: Muscle mass: 64%; Body fat 31.8%
              09/17: Muscle mass: 62.8%; Body fat 33.9%
              10/03: Muscle mass: 63.7%; Body fat 32.9%

My scale weight remains in a good range. My muscle mass is up and my body fat is down since two weeks ago.

I think the bio-tracker gives me a more complete picture of weight management than a solitary number on a scale or even my BMI. For example, my BMI went up this week since last week, but my muscle mass is a little higher too, and muscle weighs more than fat.

I'm not doing quite as well as I was 4 weeks ago, but better than 2 weeks ago. I thought my Strong Seniors class would be a good way to build muscle so I slacked off a little on my PT. But, I think that I need to do both.

My muscle mass and body fat percentages are in range, but just barely. I prefer to focus on building muscle and reducing fat instead of worrying about just the scale.

Still at 112 but that's OK. I'm just glad not to have gained. Stress causes me to overeat unless it's very major stress, and then I might not eat at all. I just don't want to eat and even forget to eat if things are too bad.

Looks as if you're staying within your goals, Faith.

My pedometer is acting up and probably needs replacement but on the days when it seems to be accurate, I average about 1500 steps a day.

Numbers are slightly in the wrong direction, but I expected worse. I've had an unusual month, with visitors, vacation, etc, so I haven't exercised much, and I've eaten out in restaurants more. I'm still in range; it's all good.

                    Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here. Many people watching their weight find this holiday particularly difficult but in spite of its challenges, I hope it will be an enjoyable occasion.

I've been holding steady at 111 and am very happy not to have gained in spite of overindulging at times on nuts and the occasional cookie. I am still trying to lose a few more pounds.
