I am new to this site so a little intro. I am 53 yrs. old, my wife is 54 and has been living with MS for appx. 25 years. She is now confined to a w/c needing total care. I did not have the time to work even 25 hours per week so I opted out after 32 years with my employer. I am now the primary caregiver dedicating my life to her. She is not able to use the computer so I will fill in and try to get help for both of us.

Thank you for being such a good caregiver for your dear wife. I know it's not easy...in my family, I'm the one who's had MS for a long time (30+ years) and although I don't quite need total care yet, I'm getting uncomfortably close. My husband is my caregiver, and I see the toll it takes on him although he never complains.
You might want to check out the Relationships and Carepartners forum too, where you'll be able to share experiences with other caregivers.
We will be more than happy to help you both in any way we can.

Very nice to "meet" you, Randy. That's a tough job you have there, and you are to be commended for doing it. I've had MS for 30+ years also and I'm the same age as you...53. I am also wheelchair dependent, but I feel very fortunate to still have some of my independence when it comes to my ADLs (activities of daily living).
Ask away if you need anything! I was an Information and Resource Specialist for my chapter of the MS Society for 11 years so I'm pretty good at finding assistance for people! Stay strong, sir....

Hi Randy,
You are such a wonderful husband and I know your wife is so thankful for marrying such a great man. My husband is my primary caregiver and he works full time. I can tell when he is tired but he never complains. He always says "whatever it takes". I just pray for strength for you and your wife. Take care and continue to be an example for so many others.
