IM A 19YR COLLEGE STUDENT. MY MOTHER AND AUNT BOTH HAVE MS. MY DOCTORS BELIEVE I DO AS WELL. I AM GOING TO SEE A SPECIALIST SEPT30, I AM SCARED AND CANT REALLY TALK TO MY FAMILY BECAUSE THEY PRETEND THIS ISN'T HAPPENING AND MY MOM AND AUNT ARE NOT SEEKING ANY TREATMENT, EVEN THO MY MOTHER HAS OVER 15 LESIONS.

MY RIGHT SIDE GOES NUMB ABOUT ONCE A MNTH I LOSE THE ABILITY TO MOVE MY ARM AND SEE OUT OF MY RIGHT EYE. I AM TIRED AND DIZZY AND AFRAID THAT I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO HAVE CHILDREN AND SEE THEM GO TO COLLEGE. ANYONE WHO READS THIS LISTEN TO "FIGHT LIKE A GIRL" BY BOMSHEL. ITS ABOUT CANCER BUT ITS VERY POWERFUL. I HAVE MEET MANY POSITIVE PEOPLE AND I AM TRYING TO STAY THAT WAY. I KNOW THAT WHAT EVER HAPPENS I CAN HANDLE BC GOD WOULDN'T GIVE ME SOMETHING I COULDN'T OVERCOME. I AM SCARED BUT READY AND WILLING TO FIGHT!!! BELIEVE AND ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

    Keep the positive attitude!!!!!

You have a very positive outlook inspite of your possible diagnosis. Even though your mom and aunt do not wish to seek treatment remeber that decision is up to you if it comes to you having to make a choice. It's never easy to hear such things but you can endure it with a smile on your face.

I have been sick my entire life and each time i go to the dr it is more diagnosises instread of postive news of getting better. I started really going down hill at 18 so I know how you feel to be sick and so young.

I hope you don't have this monster, but whatever you have to face, face it head on.

      Hello Fightlikeagirl

Welcome to the MS World Forums - nice to meet you!

I AM GOING TO SEE A SPECIALIST SEPT30, I AM SCARED AND CANT REALLY TALK TO MY FAMILY BECAUSE THEY PRETEND THIS ISN'T HAPPENING
Some of us need to get support from somewhere other than our family, (at least temporarily), if they are unable to provide it. Sometimes the family becomes supportive over time, so don't give up hope. You don't have to feel alone at MS World.

I'm sorry to hear that you have these symptoms. Try not to look too much into the future. We need to take each day as it comes, with the least amount of stress and excessive worry as possible.

      Now that's the spirit!

Feel free to ask questions and browse our various forums. You'll find much information and interesting topics, as well as support and encouragement.

Good luck at your appointment on Sept 30th. Please let us know what the neuro says. We'll be here

      Take care,

Fightlikeagirl, I want to say you have the right attitude. You know who is in control of all of this.

I am sorry that you can't talk to mom and aunt. I am not saying you have this problem to get them the help they need but it could come about because of your great attitude.

I am praying that the drs. will discover whatever it is and that you will get treatment soon. Positive thoughts and prayers going out to you!
