    Hello, Again!

Hello to all! I haven't been around much lately, but thought I would stop in, say hello, see how folks are, update my reading on the board, too.

I am still on Copaxone (once I got the needle depth sorted out, things got better!).

I've been on a merry-go-'round of meds to find something to help with the neuropathic pain (legs and feet mostly). Lyrica seems to be working pretty well.

And, over the past year, I've been diagnosed with sleep apnea (just call me ms. frankenstein at bed time - ref the cpap mask!!)

more recently, I started having some real problems with my right ankle - not neuropathic pain, but swelling and stiffness. After xrays, and a visit to an orthopedic specialist, I know have a lovely wrap/brace for my right foot as I have "posterior tibial tendonitis."

You should see me when I go to bed at night -- foot wrapped up, braces on my hands/wrists for the carpal tunnel, and the cpap mask!! wooohoo! ain't I fun !!!!

    Your laugh for the day:

Ref the tendonitis - my doctor told me that my problems could have been caused by my gait problems related to ms.

What he told me is this:

    Tip 1 – Lose Weight
    Tip 2 – Exercise More
Tip 3 – Stay off your feet as much as possible.
Tip 4 – Wear a special orthotic brace for more support.
Tip 5 – Limit walking as much as possible.

Oh what a slippery slope I am navigating here. Can someone explain to me how I am supposed to do #1 and #2 if I have to do #3, #4 and #5?

Anyway, I'm doing pretty well as long as I don't overdo it, and avoid getting overheated.

    Take care,
    D.

    Hello D (aka BarkingDogs)

So glad you stopped by with your update!

Good for you that you're still on Copaxone, and the Lyrica is helping with your neuropathy.

You gave a pretty good visual of how you look at night with cpap, braces, and wraps It's a wonder you can sleep!

That sounds like quite a conundrum! LOL

It's wonderful to hear that your sense of humor is still intact

    Wishing you the best
