Good morning my name is Natalie and I was diagnosed September 15 with relapsing/remitting MS.I've been trying to manage this new life experience the best way I can. I was a super hyper person, I loved being active all the time,. I used to be a runner- running 3-5 miles a day, biking, I was also on a salsa dance team, I had a personal trainer and loved boot camp classes and I traveled to South America and danced salsa all night until my feet were sore All this has changed for me. I had to slow down! A lot ... It has been really difficult for me to realize this because I feel if I don't do all of what I was used to doing I would become lazy. It's also frustrating that I get tired just walking two laps! I'm also still wondering why I have this condition- was it something I did in my past that triggered this? I'm going to start taking medication this week for the first time and I'm wondering how my body will react. I know I have to think positively owing everything will be okay. I'm happy my vision is back to normal (had double vision during relapse) and my balance has improved significantly because I'm taking yoga. What I always think is- will I ever be able to run and dance again like used to? I hope so... I'm happy I found this site- it gives me the opportunity to express myself and not feel judged. Thank you and I wish the best for all out there

Yes; welcome. It simply is not fair how MS changes our lives. Glad you've got your vision back, and hope other symptoms also improve.

Hi Natalie - I'm sorry you are going through this. It sounds like we are walking pretty similar paths right now. Well, not so much salsa dancing for me, but biking and running and hiking and that kind of stuff. I was happy to read that yoga has been helping you regain your balance as that has been a problem for me lately (as was the double vision you mentioned). I was thinking of finding a yoga class as well so it's good to know that it is in fact helpful! Welcome!
