My name is Angie. I am 34, just, actually. I recently celebrated 10 years with my husband. We have 2 beautiful kids, I love to run and to laugh! Shortly after our wedding anniversary, I became sick, dizzy and it lasted for 10 glorious days and guess what? Well, since I am here...I'm sure you can guess. I have read and re-read about MS until my eyes pop out of my head. Just when I think I understand, BAM!, something changes. I am a "probable MS diagnosis"...I have the telltale MRI, CSF results but the history is what remains questionable. They ask "Did you go to the doctor when that symptom arose" or "Documentation is helpful"...isn't it enough that my left leg has been numb for 2 years off and on and I have vertigo that beats any amusement park ride enough?? Along with the numerous other symptoms I have read...I will remain strong and positive. I consider myself fortunate to be here with you folks...some of the strongest people I have met(online of course). Thank you for the soap box.

Hi and Welcome. I am not surprised at all that they want more. When I was applying for S.S my neurologist kept saying that I had to get "All My Ducks In A Row" and I did not know what the heck she was talking about. After asking many people it seems what it comes down to is you need tons of info backed up with date and times. For a definite M.S. they have the criteria to follow but once they say definite make sure you have bought any insurances you will need as it becomes much harder and some doctors just do not want to put it down. Good Luck and once again Welcome.
PEACE Tortis

When all my wierd symptoms started I would have never thought that is was from a chronic disease and I needed to keep up with it.
I have had all the symptoms for years but never thought to write stuff down. I have, dizziness, numbness, fatigue, muscles spasms, cog, fog, pain. etc.....etc.......
I thought I was working to many hours, I was on my feet too long, I had my period, I was allergic to something, I was just tired etc......
I know why all the dots connect now. I keep up with it now, but not before.
Good Luck to you!!!!!DIAGNOSED=2012

yes,
there was a day or two during this (primary) episode that i was feeling terrible and i considered going to the ER. but i expected that they couldnt do anything for me. i mean, i had know idea what was going on and hadn't started researching ms at that point.
later i read something that said going to the ER would have been good because it would have documented the incident.
ah well

Thank you everyone for the feedback! I met my MS Specialist yesterday and today I go in again for some blood tests, Evoked Potential testing and a spinal MRI. It seems strange that I even know what all that is...can anyone say "research junkie" !?! Then back again tomorrow for more results. He seems to be ok with the watch and wait approach...anyone have any opinions on that vs. meds? Thanks again and hope everyone has a great day!
