How does one insert a picture into our profile?

exactly where do you want the pic?
as you can tell by my post and chicosmamma you can add an avatar or uploaded photo to your post.
when you click on your name, you'll see your profile, click edit and there'll be several items you can personalize including adding a pic. scroll down to 'image options'. there you can pick an already made avatar or upload a photo.
i'm not the technical one around here.
hopefully, one of them will see this soon and explain it better to you.
