Curious about this... Here is some background without using names.
A thread was begun, to which I posted. My response appeared on page 2 of thread responses.
Another MSer responded to the thread, (more accurately to my post which included a quote from their response). This post made comment regarding something I said... something which I had deleted before posting ?!?
Before submission, I decided that the word "addled" may be interpreted wrongly & replaced it. (The post on my screen does not contain the word).
However, the response to my post actually commented on my use of the word "addled" How is this possible?
