Was fired in October, Diagnosed in February - Questions

I was fired in October 2015, shocked as someone who has never been fired before! I spent most of the winter simply in shock by
what I describe as a hostile work environment, with harassment coming from my supervisor.

I was diagnosed with MS in Feb. 2016 and looking back I think some of my work problems (mostly cognitive) could have been symptoms of MS. Is there a way I can get disability? I'm nervous about looking for a new job due to cog fog.

A dx of disability must predate a claim for STD, LTD and SSD/I. Unfortunately it's unlikely that a retroactive dx of disability is possible, or that an insurer would honor a claim if a retroactive dx is even possible.

Have you consulted an attorney? That and your local chapter of the NMSS can provide reliable info. NMSS can provide a referral to a qualified attorney.

    Best of luck
