    Reports

Been trying to apply for SSI for my son. SSA wants reports - what do I send them? Doctor's reports? Any school records? He is 25 and his doctors and therapists have advised me to apply for SSI for him. He has never held a job, although he has applied for many. IS this worht trying ot do on my own or should we just get a lawyer involved early on?
    Thanks!

Have you contacted SSI for an explanation of exactly what reports they require for your son's SSI application? I assume your son's treating physician and therapist are familiar with reports that are required to substantiate a claim for SSI. Have you contacted them for advice about applying for his SSI benefits?

Google SSI for info about what's required to apply for and approval of SSI. You should get many SSI and .gov sites with helpful info. Hopefully others will be along soon with more helpful advice for you.

Best of luck to you and your son and take care.
