    Fair Employment and Housing

I have had to deal with this agency a few times in order to secure reasonable accommodations for my disability in my housing situation. I find this agency very difficult to deal with and would like some assistance.

Do you know where assistance might be available? Lawyers that do this only take cases when there is employment involved.

I know this is off topic but I wonder if you know of any advocates for disabled people.

My only suggestion is to contact the NMSS, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, for assistance or for a referral to an agency that can help you.

Best of luck and keep us updated on your progress.

      Fair Housing

Hello palmtree and MSW1963. I know that this may seem simplistic, but a great place to start is with a basic Google search, e.g., "fair assistance programs." I did and one of the search responses was a HUD webpage: http://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD?...ners/FHIP/fhip (or see http://buff.ly/SYb7u7). I know that there are organizations that help with fair housing. You could Google your city's name followed by fair housing.

When you add disability to the web search, the Department of Justice's website come up: http://www.justice.gov/crt/about/hce...g_coverage.php

      All the best,

      Rich
