Disability renewal

I believe I will have a medical check up for my disability in june 2014 to re evaluate my file, i wanted to know how they go about it please? what do i have to provide? medical records perhaps, what else? do they ask you to come in for an appointment or they send a file by mail? I live in new york

I think you are talking about a continuing disability review. Here is some more general information regarding this important process, which the Social Security Administration, under pressure from Congress, will be conducting more of. http://oig.ssa.gov/newsroom/congress...estimony/nov19

Here is general information from SSA's website on CDRs - http://www.socialsecurity.gov/ssi/text-cdrs-ussi.htm. A medical examination can be conducted if necessary, otherwise, the review would be by paperwork.
