CHANGES AT MSWORLD - MSWORLD'S CLOSURE

We began with a mission and purpose to help others living with MS.

We were excited to get going!

And hit a few bumps along the way…

However, in all seriousness, we remain grateful for our amazing volunteers, members & all who have made MSWorld a valuable resource for all!

July 10, 2024, we celebrated the goodness of these past 28 years. With a heavy heart, we will be ending our services.

We need a financial miracle to keep going forward.

We thank all for your support.

MSWorld's website will close on October 16, 2024.

“I personally want to wish all of you the guidance to find this type of support, as so many do here. Also, my prayers and love extends beyond my understanding. It has been a pleasure to steward this journey.”

God Bless you, Kathleen

    SPASTICITY

Haven't been to MS World in a long time. I maxed out on Baclofen so neuro put me on Tizanidine.
I still have times when spasticity is relentless, usually in the middle of the night .
Has anyone had any success in getting relief at those times?
    Thanks

    Hi DMG

Good to see you back here!

Would you like this thread moved to the Spasticity Thread in the Symptoms Sub-Forum?

    https://www.msworld.org/forum/forumd...and-Treatments

You will probably get more info there.

    Let us know.

I'm running short on time, but you sound like a candidate for a baclofen pump. They implant a pump in your body roughly the size of a hockey puck and it delivers medication in the intrathecal part of your spinal column. For me, it was the answer to all of my spasticity and then some. High dose oral medications are terrible, especially baclofen, but the pump uses a minuscule amount and has greater benefits without those nasty side effects.

        Here's a link overview:

Here's a starting point at MSWorld, but there are many others:
