No filter from brain to mouth???

Hey folks,
I haven't been on here for a while but I'm having some issues...
I don't have a filter between my brain and my mouth and it is causing serious friction between myself and my sister.

I come off as being mean because I say exactly what I am thinking.

Does anyone else have this problem or am I really just a jerk?

Yeah; I've had similar problems, particularly when I'm in, or, recovering from, an MS flare. Sometimes, in the past, I really hurt people by saying exactly what I was thinking, when, usually, I would have had a "filter" and made an appropriate choice to "shut it".
