    Tremors (and not the movie)

One of the first symptoms I had was significant tremors in my hands. My neuro says that they are uncommon in MS. I have read that they can definitely happen. I think my neuro is wrong....Please advise

I have ms and I have tremors.

I'm no expert. I think your neuro might be wrong about prevalence of tremors in ms, but even if they are uncommon, if you have them, then you have them.

I wonder if your neuro meant that tremors are uncommon in ms, or if your neuro meant that most people who have tremors don't have ms. Our symptoms can overlap with a lot of more common diseases. Example, I struggle with nausea, vertigo. Most people with vertigo don't have ms.

I have also read that ms can cause tremors, specifically lesions in the cerebellum, but I'm not a doctor, just a patient digging up details online.

Tremors can be a symptom of MS and many of us have tremors. However, tremors can have other causes and are not exclusive to MS.

Essential tremors are usually seen within families and not part of MS.
