Hyper-extended knee

I have had SPMS since 1990 and that includes numbness, fatigue, spasticity, foot drop and now I have a very very bad hyper-extended knee. It is so bad that it bows backwards and it I don't where a full leg brace my knee pain is terrible. A doctor told me that no surgery will help. I guess over the years the message from my brain to stop it has failed.

Anyone have this?

Hello Tamgober,

Yes, I have drop foot and hyper-extended knee. It has made me fall before and it is so bad I am afraid of breaking a bone. I will see my Neuro next month and I will ask for a prescription for a knee brace.

Did insurance pay for your knee brace?
