#44 and JCV positive

Hello everyone,

I had # 44 today and I found out I am positive for JCV.

All though I am concerned I will be staying on TY for now.

Thanks for the update!

It is my belief (hope) that as long as you and your neuro are ever vigilant about identifying any "new or worsening symptoms" you will be just fine.

I get my 'STRATIFY' JCV test (and #40) on Monday.

Isn't it true that many people (even without MS) have the JC Virus? It is just dormant.

I am just glad that Chris sees his neuro every 3 months and has MRI's every 6 - that way they can keep a close eye on everything.

Congrats on 44 I would make the same decision to stay on Ty even tho JCV positive; I will be tested the 18th of this Month and I had #50 yesterday!

Next one's #39

and I just had the bloodwork done 2 weeks ago. I'm waiting for the results now.

Since I haven't had any flares in the 3 years I've been on Ty, I don't think I'd consider stopping even if the test is positive (how's that for sounding less than certain?).

Rich Marcell- I have also done very well on TY and I want to stay on it.

I am getting #15 this month. I tested positive for JCV this summer. Scares the heck out of me, but I feel so good on Tysabri, and have had no relapses since I started. Dr. & I are going to really watch this closely, but for now I'm sticking with the TY!
