    Clash of the Neuros!

Well...I saw my MS Specialist yesterday for the first time since being admitted to the Hospital.

He does not agree with the Hospital Neuro. He believes the C-Spine Lesions are still there. He has my routine MRI that was done by the VA three weeks prior to the hospitalization showing the C-Spine lesions and being lit up. He said those lesions would have shrunk first before disappearing, because they were not new lesions

VA agrees with him. Bummer! I do trust my MS Specialist.

Additionally the TY is indeed the most likely culprit of my Anemia...and although it causes me problems...it is not worth me going off TY for. I am being checked monthly for that and am on liquid supplements.

He is checking me for the development of anti-bodies, because of the break-through flare. If I am positive...I think he is taking me off. But the current plan is to remain on TY and do another MRI in December.

So...I wanted to clear up that TY possibly did not get rid of my C-Spine lesions. And I am not going to find out the real answer until December when I go back in the MRI.

I am still JCV- ...that was about as positive as the appointment got.

I always say people have to play the hand they are dealt. My hand is four jokers and one ace. Sure would be nice to play that ace every once in awhile...

    Hi Katie.

I have had no improvement in MRIs in either brain or cspine lesions, but more importantly, no new lesions. So I am putting up with the respiratory infections and staying with Ty. I see no progression as a victory. And while no detectable MRI improvement, I have had some symptom improvement, so I will take that any day.

I am sure it is frustrating that docs disagree. I am borderline anemic now ad well. I didn't know Ty could cause that, but when I think about it, it makes sense.

    Stay well.
