    Tysabri

I think after 5 treatments of Tysabri, I am going to give up.

No help (relief). Constant headaches, can't get rid of the urinary tract infection and not relief.

Carry the gene which can cause a brain infection (was told 1%).

I just don't know what to do at this point. I have Secondary Progressive MS.

    I take:

    1. Amypira
    2. Baclofen (both orally and in the pump)
    3. Neuropathy medicine
    4. Mirapex (for leg spasticity)

Does anyone out there take something that might help with the pain in the legs? Can't take anymore. Going to a new Neuro today.

I have heard that medical marijuana can help with pain. Are you in a state where that is a possibility?

Sorry Tysabri isn't the med for you

    Good luck!

I am also sorry you can no longer take Ty. I am SPMS, and it helps me greatly.

As far as the spasticity goes, I can't offer any more medications, except Zanaflex. I take it with my Baclofen.

I can offer stretching exercises by a PT, and aqua therapy, just getting in the water and kicking around. Water exercises are the only ones that actually elongate the muscles (needed for decreasing spasticity), most other exercises shorten the muscles...not as good for spasticity.

      Good luck...feel better!
