Tec and Thyroid Problems

I'm in my second month on Techfidera, and while the nausea is subsiding, in the last week I've noticed swelling in my neck. I went to my endocrinologist today, and he said my thyroid gland has swollen to double the size it was last year.

I had thyroid issues before starting Tech, so I don't know if it's related for sure, but I'm not ready to assume I should have the thing removed without doing so more research. Maybe this change has suddenly accelerated for no apparent reason, but I can't help but wonder if it's related to the Tech.

My endocrinologist doesn't have any idea, although he said the MS meds can affect thyroid function.

Anyway, I'm curious--has anyone else noticed a difference in their thyroid levels since starting Tech?

My thyroid started to go wonky about a year or so ago. After a couple years on rebif.

So, yes I think that ms meds can affect your thyroid. I guess we are in the unfortunate situation where we have to choose the lesser of two evils.
