    Took my first Tec!

I know - it's really early - but so far so good. I turned LOBSTER RED...but it only lasted about 40 minutes and started to subside. I was actually on a work call most of the time - which was good since I was not focusing on the sunburn feeling.

I am working from home for the first few days. My boss knows everything (I work for big pharma - so I guess they have to be good about stuff like this!) - and told her I am starting a new drug and the first few weeks might be tough - she just said to "do whatever you need to do" - so that is awesome. I will probably work from home next week when I go up to the next dosage also.

Anyway - so far so good...

Good to hear. Every day that I wait to start this I lose a little bit of my commitment. Some of the recent posts about people completely stopping haven't helped.

I'm so nervous about starting. Hopefully you're not puking or anything else!!!

Hoping for the best for everyone.
Have to be positive and hope those of us that haven't started will not have the allergic reactions causing people to stop and our GI problems will be non existent or will go away after our body get used to them

Please, please, please let that be the case, I am not going back on a shot, nuh uh.

I think it's worth trying! Do you have the pills on hand? Why not start this evening? Just premedicate with aspirin and Zantac and take with a full meal (protein, fat, carb) and probiotic!

                Still OK!!

You have to remember that people that are having a hard time are the ones more likely to post looking for advice...while people doing OK are quiet!!!

My neuro said their practice has perscirbed Tec about 100 times so far and only 5 or 6 people have had real horrible problems - bad enough to make the have to stop (by choice or by drs directive) . She said for most people its just about "getting through" the first few weeks.

I totally believe not focusing on it really helps - I mean - if I had sat around this morning thinking about how much my face burned it would have been worse - instead I got got on the phone and yelled at my users in Europe - kept my mind off things...lol. Maybe I'll have to give my China users a call later tonight when I have to take the next one!!!

I'm still waiting for the shipment. I sent all of my consents off, did the labs, and am waiting on the insurance to figure out what they are going to do so I can officially get started.

I think by the middle of next week I'll have it. I'm being such a chicken about this, but I have never needed medicine like this in my life. Normal antibiotic here and there, but nothing this heavy duty or long term.

Got it. I understand. If it's the first MS drug you've ever been on, I think it can carry more emotional/psychological weight than if you're switching from a different MS drug to Tec. Keep us posted! I've been on MS drugs for a while now but I still definitely felt a sense of apprehension along with the excitement while waiting for Tec to arrive.

                      Day 3 - still OK!

Flushing that last about 30 minutes - actually happens a few time a day.

Pretty bad headache yesterday - took a nap for an hour and felt better. Starting getting a headache again last night - went to bed early and felt fine this morning.

Don't have a stomache ache - just don't have much of an appetite - forcing myself to eat.

                      Still all systems go!

                          No Headache Today!

The weather has been crazy here in NJ - 25 degrees 2 days ago to almost 60 degrees today - raining this morning - sunny now - so I actually think the headaches have just been sinus related due to the crazy changing weather and maybe nothing to do with the Tec.

Actually much less flushing today - still not much of an appetite - but not sick to my tummy either.

                            Day 5 all is well...

Just didn't want anyone to think the fact I didn't post meant things got bad.

Things are fine. Will post again after Thursday when I got to full dose!

Day 2 on full dose...still OK

I am on day 2 of the full dose...all still OK.

Took the pill around 7:30 and about 25 minutes ago my head started to feel like it was on fire...like a bad sunburn - more intense than the 120 dose was giving me...but still in the category of "annoying" as opposed to really bad.
