Side effects beginning weeks after starting Tecfider?

Has anyone started on Tecfidera, felt good for while and then suddenly started to feel sick ?

I started about a month ago, felt amazingly good for about three weeks, even after increasing the dose to 240mg (better than I've ever felt in the two years I was on Rebif), and suddenly I started to get excruciating lower stomach pain? I've been suffering since Saturday, Wondering if it is the Tecfidera, the bad constipation that I have developed since I started the med, my upcoming period (haven't had those pains in a looooong time though, but if feels similar), or maybe all the above!

    THANKS!!!

I've only been on it 2.5 weeks so far but am feeling OK. I've seen several posts like yours though about side effects starting later. Hope this passes quickly for you!

          Me too!!!

I've been on Tec for almost 5 months. About a month ago I started having gut wrenching lower abdominal pain. I've had a hysterectomy, but it could almost compare it to childbirth, which is something I'd hoped to never experience again

I take my med at 9 & 9, premeditated with a baby aspirin, Prilosec, & benedryl. I did develop an unusual side effect, a red rash on my arms. Time has not made this side effect go away. I have transient nausea, generally in the afternoon.

Since this is the only med available to me, I'm allergic to or contraindicated to take all the other MS meds, I am willing to put up with the inconveniences from Tec.

I was straight up terrified to start this med, but so far I have done okay.
