    Having a little trouble...

Starting 6th week on tec. Was doing great until 4 days ago. Now bad pain in lower abdomen along with feeling I'm carrying around a basketball inside! Have not missed a dose, but struggling. Anybody else dealing with this? Wait until it gets better? WILL it get better? Seeing the neuro this week hopefully. Thanks. Becky

I'm sorry! That must be so frustrating this far along when you probably thought you were in the clear (since I know I've read usually if you can past the first month or two, you're good). Let us know what your neuro says. Hopefully this passes for you soon.

      Sounds familiar

Hi, I had exactly the same symptoms afterbstarting the 240. The pain did get pretty bad and bloating, heartburn and feeling crappy overall. I put up with it for a few weeks, but unfortunately it didnt improve. I stopped taking the tec on my own. I Finally met with my nuero and the plan was to stay off the tec until my stomach felt normal. (2 weeks,)Then restart the tec slowly, every other day, once a day, then every day, then every other day 2x a day, then as prescribed 2x a day. I am still not up to 2x a day. my stomach is mostly fine, (I do take a zantac before every dose) but I still get flushing and very itchy every day! I truly believe that taking some medication is better than nothing(which was what I was starting to think) so I am confident that this Tec is going to work out. I hope this didnt depress you, but I always like any feedback, and its good to know you are not alone. Good Luck! Dont give up or in.

        Update...

Well it wasn't the Tec at all! Huge attack of diverticulitis. Note to self: not every single thing you feel should be blamed on the Tec. Two nurses told me it wouldn't be the Tec because I'm ending my 6th week. Who knew?
