Experimental medication (EX-527) may prevent the onset of MS

For existing patients this may seem like "far too little, far too late," but this could be be revolutionary to people that come after us. This may be a 2nd tool combined with the MS vaccine that the University of Baylor is working on that may stop the onset of MS.

Scientists from the Gladstone Institutes have discovered a way to prevent the development of multiple sclerosis (MS) in mice. Using a drug that blocks the production of a certain type of immune cell linked to inflammation and autoimmunity, the researchers successfully protected against the onset of MS in an animal model of the disease.
