Did you try this:

Click on the red +SUBSCRIBE box on the top right side of the topic/thread page that you want to subscribe to.


Or, did you try this:

Click on your username (top right of page) --> choose user settings --> then choose notifications --> then next to automatic subscriptions click on the box subscribe when posting
