Article on CNS Effects of Gilenya

So we all were told going into this that Gilenya would keep lymphocytes in our lymph nodes and help reduce attacks etc. by tanking our lymph nodes. Researchers are now finding out that Gilenya is also doing something with the CNS (central nervous system) that's helping to prevent MS too! This is awesome considering that many researchers think that the immune system is really only a partial culprit in MS.

The ability to deactivate CNS receptor sites is the first property I've heard of in an immune-modifying drug tested for MS that's different enough to actually make it promising for PPMS. Hooray and hallelujah!
