    delayed cycle....

Has anyone on gilenya had a very late menstrual cycle? And if so for how long?

    #2
    Maybe...

I did for a few months right after starting Gilenya but can't definitely say it was Gilenya related. GYN put me on hormones for a few days and it straightened out for about a year. Started having problems again this past summer. I've been on Gilenya for two years. I'm older (47) so it could be the beginnings of menopause and the timing is just a coincidence. However, I was very regular before starting Gilenya.

I just started Gilenya 12 days ago. My period is about a week late. 100% sure I'm not pregnant. They said that although it's not on their list of potential side effects, they have heard a very small number of women experience it. What they couldn't tell me was if things regulated again after a while. Would love to hear if other women have also experienced this and how long it took to get "regular" again. No other side effects BTW so far (knock on wood).

Thought I would update my post above. On Gilenya for 15 days. My period just started today, so about 11 days late. I thought this might be helpful information for anyone else who experiences a delay, as although I could find a few comments about being late, I couldn't find comments so much about how late. We'll see what next month brings!

I've been on it for almost a year. Period is always late since starting. I just got it today. The last cycle was thanksgiving. Blah.

Gilenya - 2 1/2 months - late periods, constant lower back pain, increased fatique

I have been on Gilenya since 26/10/2012. My first menstrual period was delayed one week and my second period was delayed two weeks. One of my pre-menstrual symptoms of sore nipples i used to get before my period started has for some strange reason come after my last period finished????
Also i have in the last month started having constant daily lower back pain, and today i have numbness in my left knee? Has anyone else experienced all of this? Will it get better the longer i am on Gilenya?
