Have been on copaxone for 2 years, just went on medicare. Spoke with Shared Solutions and they are trying to get me grant money. They were not sure and soon I will be out of present prescription. Is there any problem just stopping this med or does it need to be tapered? Thanks

Copaxone does not have to be tapered down first before stopping the med. You can stop taking any of the DMDs at any time.

apply to other financial assistance programs on your own. There's a listing of other programs as a sticky in this medications section. Surprised they haven't mentioned switching to their 40mg dosage - but does Shared Solutions assist those covered under Medicare?Comment
