I started Copaxone a little over 3 months ago. Two weeks ago I had a really nasty allergic reaction to Copaxone and have been in the hospital twice in one week. My feet started to swell and then the swelling spread up my legs and finally into my face and my tongue. Really scary. My question for anyone who might have the answer---how long for this medication to leave your system?? I am supposed to start Avonex next week, but I am still afraid that the Copaxone has not left the building--so to speak--and if I should start the Avonex. So,..I guess I have two questions--how long before the Copaxone leaves and is it okay to start on the Avonex so soon after the allergic reaction to Copaxone.
