    Anyone heard of EGFR?

My DH came home today and told me about EFG and MS. He said there was program on the radio about it.

So I looked it up and an interesting article about it.

Sounds promising, but I really hadn't much time to read a lot about it.

Not sure if the link is allowed, but it is

Although the article does talk about spinal cord injuries, it also mentions MS.

Anyone know of a good place to go for more info?

Epidermal growth factor is just one of hundreds of chemicals involved in neurological injury. Because of that, there are hundreds of articles like these about those other chemicals in the medical literature. MS is a potential area for all of them, but all of this animal research - in diseases that are NOT MS - is far too preliminary to know how it might work in MS.

I'm sure if you do a web search for EGF you'll find information about it. And you can do the same thing for those other hundreds of chemicals that are being tested in laboratories. At the animal stage, there's nothing that's going to come from any of this chemical research for many, many years.
