Those chemo therapy medicines are pretty strong. They're supposed to suppress your immune system by themselves so you don't need to take more medicines with them. If rituxan is working you shouldn't need to take imuran. If rutuxan isn't working you shouldn't take it and should take something else. I don't know why your doctor would want you to take both of them. When my doctor talked about rituxan with me a while back when he thought I might have Devic's I was supposed to see a cancer specialist to make sure the rituxan was used correctly and I wouldn't be taking any other immune system or MS medicines with it. I never did end up taking rituxan but that's what I found out when I was studying up on it. What your doctor is telling you to take both medicines doesn't sound right.?

        Rituxan and cop axons

There is a study going on now at the Rocky Mountain MS center using Riyuxan and cop axons. it is being led by Timothy Volmer, one of the leading MS researchers.

I have been taking rituxan for about two years and it has helped a lot but it wears off after six or so months and so you need to take it every few months.
I use it with Ampyra and together they have made my life significantly better.

        Currently on rituxan

Good lord that sounds like a heck of a cocktail! I would get a second opinion and maybe from an MS specialist.

I'm no doctor, but I would be very wary of taking those two together unless you have some kind of zany cancer. Good luck!
