Neurontin dosing question

I have been taking 1200 mg 3x daily for about 18 months now. Recently my leg pain has gotten progressively worse so the neuro wants me to increase to the same dosage 4x daily. Is anyone else taking 4800 mg/day without horrible side effects? That seems like a lot of neurontin.

Is your leg pain strictly MS? I have some leg pain and spasms that turned out to be somewhat closer to restless leg syndrome than MS so I tried a new drug for RLS Horizant which is gabapentin (like Neurontin). It is slow release and is absorbed much more efficiently than gabapentin or so they say.

Just thought I would throw it out there as I am having a lot of relief with it.
